Come Create Memories with Us!

For over 70 years WaKeeney has celebrated Christmas in their downtown square filling every heart with Christmas cheer.  The festival is an all day festival beginning at 9am with shopping and a special Christmas display at our museum.  Then at 4pm the downtown comes alive with free activities for the whole family.   Santa will arrive at 6pm to turn the lights on and treat the children with a special visit.  Schedule of events can be found on our facebook page and at WaKeeney.org

This event is made possible by WaKeeney Travel & Tourism, and this years sponsors, Nutrien Ag Solutions, Vintage Soul Salon, Newcomer Furniture, First Federal Savings & Loan, Keyser Hardware, Pathway Ag, Trogstad & Company, Ghumm's Autos & Treasurers, 5th Avenue Salon, Solutions North Bank, Frontier Ag, Trego Chamber of Commerce, Farm Bureau/Haley Ruggles, Malay's Market, Queen of Stars, Deines Construction, TWI Insurance, American Family Ins/MaryJo Hafliger, Pit Road Liquor, Fire Alarm Specialist, Generations church, Old 40 Auto Care, Dechant manufacturing and WaKeeney Redi-Mix   Because of these sponsors we are able to offer all the entertainment to the community for free!  Entertainment includes, horse & wagon rides, community kids train, virtual reality sleigh ride, live reindeer and of course - Santa Claus!

All of our decorations instill Christmas nostalgia for everyone.  The decorations were hand made and have been in use since 1950.  Including our 35ft live greenery Christmas Tree in the center of the square!
